Band Parents,
We are winding down basketball season and now we are going to move into concert season. These next few months we’ll be concentrating on tone, breathing, rhythm, flats and sharps. I’m proud of each student’s improvement so far this year. I can really tell and difference in each of their performance.
We’ll be starting back on January 10th at our usual time, 4:30. Our current band fund balance is $95.00. I’m ordering two concert pieces so for now I’m not asking for your quarterly dues. I would like to have a fund raiser just for the band if any of you have an idea. I would also like to purchase some percussion and start the drum section. The entire section will cost around $900.00.
As you may know, Michelle and I are expecting a child soon, so I will keep you informed of when he arrives. She’s at home on bed rest and doing well. Please take a minute and go to the schools web site and send me you contact information, where I can reach you in case Michelle decides to go into labor on a band practice day.
